Crack sealing begins May 11 as part of multi-county maintenance project

SAGINAW, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $475,000 to perform pavement crack sealing on various roadways throughout Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac, Shiawassee and Tuscola counties.
Starting Monday, May 11, work will begin on M-24 (Lapeer Road) from Saginaw Road to Barnes Lake Road, Lapeer County. Once work is completed in Lapeer County, work will then progress to the following:
Tuscola County
- M-24 (Lapeer Road) from Brown Road to Lobdell Road.
- M-46 (Sanilac Road) from Saginaw Road to Vassar Road.
- M-138 (Akron Road) from Thomas Road to Unionville Road.
Huron County
- M-25 (Unionville Road) from Loomis Road to Myers Road.
- M-142 (Main Street) from Weale Road to Michigan Avenue.
- M-25 (Port Austin Road) from Fillion Road to Crystal Shores Drive.
- M-142 (Huron Avenue) from Carpenter Road to Johnson Road.
- M-25 (Lakeshore Road) from Helena Road to Fairway Drive.
Sanilac County
- M-46 (Chandler Street/Sanilac Road) from Carsonville to Goetze Road.
- M-25 (Lakeshore Road) from Fisher Road to Lynn Boulevard.
- M-53 (Van Dyke Road) from Cass City Road to Huron Line Road.
Shiawassee County
- M-21 (Main Street) from Delaney Road to N. State Road.
Intermittent lane closures will be in place in these work zones. Work is expected to end in late June.
