Northbound I-75 lane closure for resurfacing June 1-5 in Genesee County

DAVISON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing one lane of northbound I-75 from US-23 to Court Street in Genesee County as part of a $6.9 million investment to resurface more than 4 miles of I-75 in that area. Work includes hot-mix asphalt cold milling and resurfacing, shoulder corrugations and pavement markings.

Traffic Restrictions:
The far-left lane of northbound I-75 will be closed, along with the left shoulder.
Traffic will be maintained with additional intermittent single- and double-lane closures as well as ramp closures, as needed, while work progresses throughout the project limits. Detours will be posted as necessary.
Jobs numbers:
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 58 jobs.

This work will extend the lifespan of the roadway and increase safety for motorists. Lane and ramp closures are necessary to ensure the safety of motorists and workers.
