Input sought for state's parks and recreation strategic plan
As the DNR works to finalize the draft Parks and Recreation Division Strategic Plan for 2023-2027, we're turning to the visitors and residents who love and know the state's parks and recreation system for feedback. The draft plan review and comment opportunity closes Jan. 20.

Federal funds give state parks and trails a huge boost forward
If you love state parks and trails as much as we do, you know there’s a lot of infrastructure work to be done. Thanks to $250 million in federal relief funding from the Building Michigan Together Plan, we're making even more headway! To help you track our progress, we've put together an interactive map identifying proposed project locations, details and status of those projects, plus FAQs and a photo gallery.
Park entry
A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks, recreation areas, state forest campgrounds, and most boating access sites and state trailheads.
