I-94 ramp closures at M-139 in Berrien County start Monday

COLOMA, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing the ramps at the I-94/M-139 interchange in Benton Township to rebuild culverts.
This work is part of MDOT’s three-year, $205 million I-94 rebuilding project in Berrien County.

Traffic restrictions:
The eastbound I-94 ramps at M-139 will be closed Monday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 16, with traffic detoured on Napier Avenue.
The westbound I-94 ramp to M-139 will be closed Monday, Aug. 19, through Friday, Aug. 23. Traffic will be detoured on M-63.

Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 2,911 jobs.
$90 million of the funding for this three-year, $205 million investment is made possible by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's Rebuilding Michigan program to rebuild the state highways and bridges that are critical to the state's economy and carry the most traffic. The investment strategy is aimed at fixes that result in longer useful lives and improve the condition of the state's infrastructure.
