M-28 railroad crossing work near Dafter starts Sept. 30

NEWBERRY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $250,000 to rebuild the Wisconsin Central Railroad crossing and roadway approach on M-28 near Dafter in Chippewa County.

Traffic restrictions:
M-28 will be closed at this railroad crossing and detoured via Soo Line Road, 10 Mile Road, and Mackinac Trail. A 10.5-foot lane width restriction will be in place on the detour route.
