Lane closures on US-31 Manistee bascule bridge scheduled next week

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - Contractors for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will install a polymer concrete overlay on the deck of the US-31 Manistee bascule bridge to provide a smooth and uniform surface. This work is one of the remaining work items on the $12.6 million project to replace portions of the bridge deck, upgrade the bridge’s mechanical and electrical systems, repair and paint the bridge’s structural steel, and improve the bridge approaches.
