MDOT kicks off M-14 noise study in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) invites the public to learn more about a noise study underway on M-14 in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County. A video about the study is available on MDOT’s YouTube channel.

MDOT is undertaking a legislatively requested study of M-14 between Newport Road and Maple Road. The study’s purpose is to measure current noise levels and evaluate potential noise abatement strategies that could improve conditions for public schools within the study area.

The outcome of this study will inform the State Legislature on existing noise conditions, provide potential mitigation items and cost estimates. The study is not connected or related to any past, current or future MDOT road or bridge project.
