Where to Begin
Below you will find a general guideline for which plan to start with. When deciding between two, start with the more basic and progress to the more advanced.
In order of complexity, from most basic to most advanced, the physical training plans contained herein are:
Stage 1: MCOLES Preparation
Stage 2: Basic General Physical Preparedness
Stage 3: Advanced General Physical Preparedness
Start here:
Can you easily pass the MCOLES Pre-Enrollment Fitness Test?
If no, start with Stage 1: MCOLES Preparation Plan.
If yes, can you easily run 3 miles without stopping?
If no, start with Stage 1: MCOLES Preparation Plan.
If yes, do you have or can you get access to a gym or basic gym equipment, such as a barbell with weight, dumbbells, etc.?
If no, Stage 2: Basic GPP plan.
If yes, can you easily run 5 miles without stopping?
If no, Stage 2: Basic GPP Plan.
If yes, Stage 3: Advanced GPP Plan.
