Culvert replacement begins this Monday on I-96 east of US-31

NORTON SHORES, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $700,000 to install a new culvert under I-96 in Muskegon County just east of the Hile Road interchange.

Traffic restrictions:
Lane closures, traffic shifts, and intermittent ramp closures at adjacent interchanges will be in effect throughout the project.
Westbound I-96 is scheduled to be closed and detoured 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 through 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21. Eastbound I-96 is scheduled to be closed 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 through 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. Detour: M-104 and US-31.
