M-22 resurfacing in Onekama, Manistee County starts April 14

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $4.5 million to resurface nearly 12 miles of M-22 in Manistee County from 8 Mile Road in the village of Onekama north to Norman Road north of Arcadia. The project also will include new concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks.

Traffic restrictions:
This work will require daytime single-lane closures with traffic regulators.
Parking lanes in Onekama will be closed one side of the highway at a time while sidewalk ramps are upgraded on that side.

Safety benefit:
This project will include upgrading sidewalk ramps to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, as well as new signs and pavement markings.
