M-71 resurfacing, traffic signal improvements begin June 9 in Corunna

DAVISON, Mich. -The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $1.4 million to resurface M-71 from Corunna Avenue to McNeil Street and to modernize the traffic signal at the Shiawassee Street/McNeil Street intersection. Work includes curb and gutter as well as sidewalk and ramp improvements.

Traffic restrictions:
Signal work will start on June 9 at the Shiawassee Street/McNeil Street intersection. Shoulder closures will be in place during signal work.
Resurfacing is expected to begin July 8. Traffic will be maintained with traffic shifts.
Safety benefit:
This work will extend the lifespan of the roadway and increase safety for motorists while the modernized traffic signal will improve the efficiency of this intersection.
