Southbound US-127 lane closure at Bailey Drive overpass in Clare County for high-load hit repairs

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the right lane of southbound US-127 at the Bailey Drive overpass in Clare County to repair damage to the structure from a previous high-load hit. Work will include heat straightening of the damaged beam.

One lane of southbound US-127 will be closed at Bailey Drive during this work.
The westbound lane of Bailey Drive over southbound US-127 in Clare County was closed in May after the high-load hit was discovered. This lane closure will remain in effect while repairs are made to the structure.
Additional maintenance work will be done at this location in July and will be announced in advance.
