M-3 (23 Mile Road) nighttime closures July 25-27 between Gratiot Avenue and I-94 this weekend in Macomb County

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, July 25, through 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, westbound M-3 (23 Mile Road) will be closed from I-94 to Gratiot Avenue for resurfacing. Eastbound M-3 (23 Mile Road) will have at least one lane open overnight.
Then beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 26, through 10 a.m. Sunday, July 27, eastbound M-3 (23 Mile Road) will be closed from Gratiot Avenue to I-94 for resurfacing, with westbound M-3 (23 Mile Road) having at least one lane open overnight.
There will also be closures on the eastbound and westbound I-94 ramps to 23 Mile Road during the nightly closures.
This work is part of an $8 million investment on M-3 (Gratiot Avenue and 23 Mile Road) between Sandpiper Drive and I-94 to resurface the road, upgrade sidewalk curb ramps, improve drainage, repair guardrail and restripe permanent pavement markings.
Based on economic modeling, this $8 million investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 76 jobs.
