M-30 resurfacing project closure extended through Aug. 1 in Saginaw, Gratiot counties
July 25, 2025
BAY CITY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is extending a closure of M-30 from M-46 to S. County Line Road in Saginaw and Gratiot counties for an ongoing resurfacing and railroad crossing improvement project.
M-30 was closed on July 21 and was scheduled to reopen on July 28. However, due to unforeseen delays with the railroad crossing work, the closure will be extended through Aug. 1. M-30 traffic is currently detoured via Tittabawassee Road, Merril Road and M-46.
After Aug. 1, traffic will then be maintained with lane closures and flagging operations for the remainder of the project. Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of August.
This $906,000 project will result in a smoother driving surface and increased safety.
