Crouse Road bridge demolition at US-23 in Livingston County overnight Friday, Oct. 17

LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin bridge demolition of the Crouse Road bridge at US-23 on Friday, Oct. 17. This work follows a high-load strike on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Traffic restrictions:
Northbound US-23 will be closed from M-59 to Clyde Road. Traffic will be detoured to exit at M-59.
The eastbound/westbound M-59 ramp to northbound US-23 will be closed.
Alternate routes are advised.
Safety benefit:
This work will replace the portion of the bridge that was damaged.
All drivers are reminded that they are responsible for knowing their load. Permits are required for objects or vehicles on state roads higher than 13 feet, 6 inches. Vehicle-bridge collisions result in serious injuries, significant property damage and major congestion problems. It is important to know the height of your load.
