Overnight rolling closure on I-75 Nov. 18 for sign installation in Arenac County
November 15, 2024
This work is part of a $3.1 million investment to improve signs and overhead sign structures, guardrails and delineators along I-75, US-23 and M-13 in Bay and Arenac counties.

Arenac
Highways:
Northbound I-75
US-23 connector
Closest cities:

Pinconning
Start date:
10 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 18, 2024
Estimated end date:
6 a.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024
Traffic restrictions:
Starting at 10 p.m., crews will intermittently close the northbound lanes of I-75. Expect short delays and possible backups.
Jobs numbers:
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 38 jobs.
Safety benefit:
The closure is necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists as the overhead signs are installed. MDOT regularly replaces older signs with newer, more reflective signs to ensure the signs are visible day and night, and to satisfy federal requirements.
