Michigan operates several types of managed care programs to provide health services to Medicaid beneficiaries. Managed care plans include Medicaid Health Plans, Dental Plans, and Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans (specialty mental health and substance use disorder treatment). After a person is determined eligible for services, the person may also be eligible for enrollment into a managed care plan. This web page describes the different types of managed care plans and provides useful information about service areas and reports. Contact information for the health plans may be found here as well.
