HEALTH COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING (MHCCB) INITIATIVE Overview:
The HCCB Initiative is a three-year funding opportunity designed to promote collaboration between Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Office of TEaCH, and local public health, tribal agencies, community- and faith-based organizations and other local entities to achieve health fairness for Michigan’s underrepresented groups (African Americans, American Indians/Alaska Natives, Arab and Chaldean Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and Hispanics/Latinos).
The goal of this funding is to support culturally and linguistically appropriate community-level projects that build capacity to identify and implement programs, policies, and applied research to address health related social needs that contribute to health fairness for ethnic populations in Michigan.
