Office of Transformation, Engagement and Community Health (TEaCH)
The Office of Transformation, Engagement, and Community Health (TEaCH) works to ensure all Michigan communities can achieve their best possible health. We lead efforts within the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to improve service delivery, strengthen health infrastructure, and support culturally responsive practices. By addressing non-medical factors and advancing policy change, TEaCH helps eliminate differences in health outcomes caused by social, economic, cultural, and geographic factors.
Mission:
Our mission is to work actively toward ensuring optimal health and eliminating differences in health outcomes among all Michigan communities through improved service delivery, health infrastructure, skill-building, and policy change.
Vision:
We lead the state in ensuring that community health outcomes are not determined by social, economic, cultural, and/or geographic differences.
