Health Care Providers

Young cancer survivors (those diagnosed under the age of 45) participated in a project where they took photos documenting their experience. A video was created from these photos and discussions with the survivors. The goal of this video is to educate health care providers on the needs and experiences of young survivors.

Young adults with breast cancer have unique needs which may differ from older adults who are diagnosed. It is important that health care providers are knowledgeable about these needs and how to address them. These needs may include sexuality, fertility, career planning, and parenting.
