MDHHS values community support for breastfeeding success. Listed below are resources available to you to locate local breastfeeding support.
Michigan Breastfeeding Network (MIBFN) is a statewide organization that is dedicated to collaborating with organizations and individuals to bring about actionable, system-level changes that are centered on the diverse experiences of Michigan families with young children. MIBFN also supports local coalition and aides in coalition start up.
Michigan Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a federally-funded Special Supplemental Nutrition Program of the Food and Nutrition Service of the United States Department of Agriculture and is administered by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, serving low and moderate income pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
