Home-delivered meals
Home Delivered Meals
The Older Americans Act (OAA) home-delivered meal program provides nutritionally sound meals to frail older adults who are at high nutritional risk due to illness, a recent hospitalization, living alone, or the inability to shop or prepare meals. Eligible individuals include homebound or other prioritized older adults age 60 years or older, and family members with disabilities who permanently live in the home of the eligible older adult.
The number of meals delivered is based on an individual assessment of need for each eligible person. Service can begin within a few days of application. There is no cost for meals, however, each participant has an opportunity to contribute to the cost of the meal.
For more information on eligibility and how to sign up, please contact your local Area Agency on Aging.
