Michigan Advisory Committee on Immunizations (MACI)
The Michigan Advisory Committee on Immunizations (MACI) was formed in 1992 to advise the Michigan Department of Community Health, now the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, on immunization-related issues.
MACI members provide guidance to that will assist the MDHHS Division of Immunization in reducing the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases, promoting an efficient use of program resources and supporting the use of vaccines in Michigan that are recommended by evidence-based science from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunizations, as appropriate.
Mission/Vision
To endorse vaccine guidance that impacts the health of Michigan residents, reflects Michigan’s epidemiology of disease and supports best practices in promoting health for Michiganders.
