Preventing Sexual Abuse of Children
The Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Abuse of Children is charged with making recommendations for reducing child sexual abuse in Michigan, including recommendations for state and school policies that address the sexual abuse of children.
Specific responsibilities of the task force are set forth in 2012 PA 593.
Governor Snyder appointed 15 members to the task force on June 17, 2014.

Carol Hackett Garagiola, as the designee of Director Nick Lyon, serves as the presiding officer of the task force.
Final recommendations of the task force must be submitted to the Governor and the Legislature no later than 365 days after June 17, 2014. The task force will be abolished upon submission of the final report.
