Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
Michigan's Long-Term Care Ombudsman program provides advocacy and information to individuals in need of long-term supports and services, particularly those living in nursing homes, homes for the aged, and adult foster care homes. Michigan's appointed long-term care Ombudsman also provides training, oversight, and management of statewide Ombudsman programs.

Michigan's Prevent Elder and Vulnerable Adult Abuse, Exploitation, Neglect Today (PREVNT) initiative seeks to implement tools and systems to detect and address elder abuse, neglect and exploitation in Michigan.Retired and Senior Volunteer Programs (RSVP)
RSVP is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for adults aged 55 or older. Service opportunities vary between communities. The Senior Companion program provides a way for volunteers aged 55 or older to make a difference in the lives of other adults by providing assistance and friendship to those who have difficulty with activities of daily living and to help them maintain their independence.Senior Project Fresh is a seasonal supplemental nutrition program that provides eligible older adults with benefits to be used in exchange for locally-grown produce and honey from authorized Michigan farmers' markets and roadside stands.
Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
SCSEP is a community service and work-based training program for older workers. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides subsidized, service-based training for unemployed low-income adults aged 55 or older.
