Fetal Development: Week 28
28 weeks after conception (7 months)
(30 weeks after the last menstrual period)
The fetus is now 10 ½ inches long, which is about the length of a Romaine Lettuce leaf. The fetus weighs almost 3 pounds. The fetus has well-rounded contours because of the fat deposits. This fetus would have a reasonable chance of survival if born at this stage of development.
Romaine Lettuce leaves are 10 – 12 inches tall.
