Hello Colleagues,

The Family Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (Family Center) is pleased to share with you the job posting of a Youth Consultant!

An important role of the Family Center is to provide support, information, and connections to educational opportunities and community resources available to families who are navigating systems of care and services for children and youth with special needs.  The Youth Consultant will partner with the Family Center and the CYE Project team by providing feedback on projects, increase awareness of telemedicine, and provide peer support to youth, parents, and caregivers.  The Youth Consultant will participate in meetings, site visits, conferences, and community forums, as well as be actively involved in a multitude of Family Center trainings and other opportunities.

The Family Center promotes coordinated systems of care that are family-centered, culturally competent and community-based by providing consultation related to programming, policies, direct family support initiatives, community education, and parent-professional partnerships.

If you know an excellent candidate who has personal experience as a parent, guardian, or caregiver of a child or youth with special health care needs, please encourage them to apply.    Please see the link to the full job description for additional details.
