CSHCS INFO #14-2021 - 2021-2022 Sibshop Grant
Mon 3/1/2021 12:34 PM
Dear Colleagues,
Just a friendly reminder of that the Family Center is offering small grant proposals for the 2021 - 2022 fiscal year (10/1/21 - 9/30/22) to support siblings of children with special health care needs using the evidence-based Sibshop model. The Maternal and Child Health Bureau defines children with special health care needs as those who have or are at increased risk for a chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional condition. This grant opportunity provides a unique opportunity for community-based collaboration.
The goal of the grant is to provide statewide opportunities for brothers and sisters of children with special health and developmental needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational context with a certified Sibshop.
Attached you will find the application for the Regional Sibshop Grant for the year 2021-2022. The deadline to have the application postmarked and mailed is Friday March 19, 2021. Please note this is a completely fillable PDF application.
Each Region is eligible to receive up to $1,000 for their project! Please see the attachment for the application and guidelines.
For more information, please do not hesitate to contact Aleisha Leavitt at leavitta1@michigan.gov or 517-241-3126.
Thank you,
