Dear Colleagues:
The Family Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (Family Center) is excited to announce an opportunity to extend our family support services to siblings of children with special health care needs who reside in the State of Michigan.
Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) and the Family Center are offering small grant proposals for the fiscal year 2017 - 2018 to support siblings of children with special health and developmental needs using the evidence-based Sibshop model. This grant opportunity, made possible through the Mary Marin Sibling Support Memorial Fund and the Children with Special Needs Fund, provides a unique opportunity for community based collaboration.
Each Region is eligible to receive up to $1,000 for their project! Please see the attachment for the application and guidelines.
The goal of the grant is to provide statewide opportunities for brothers and sisters of children with special health and developmental needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational context with a certified Sibshop.
Attached you will find the application for the Regional Sibshop Sustainability Small Grant for the year 2017-2018. The application deadline is October 30, 2017. Please note this is a completely fillable PDF application.
