Dear Colleagues,
This alert impacts Medicaid beneficiaries who transport themselves and individuals who provide NEMT services to a Medicaid-enrolled family member.
Per the attached MSA Bulletin, effective immediately, beneficiaries who transport themselves or individuals providing NEMT services to a Medicaid-enrolled family member are no longer required to enroll in CHAMPS and are exempted from mandated provider screening requirements. Self-attestation is sufficient when determining the familial relationship between the driver and the Medicaid beneficiary. Please feel free to share the Bulletin with local DHHS colleagues as needed.
