Provides the most current and professionally verified information on all aspects of epilepsy diagnosis and treatment, seizure management and optimal care.

American Epilepsy Society

The American Epilepsy Society is one of the oldest neurological professional organizations in the U.S. The Society promotes interdisciplinary communications, scientific investigation and exchange of clinical information about epilepsy.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Provides resources for individuals with epilepsy and their families and friends, healthcare providers, professional training, and the latest research.

CURE (Citizens United for Research In Epilepsy)

CURE is a non-profit grassroots organization formed by parents and families to raise funds for epilepsy research.

Institute of Medicine (IOM)

The IOM examined the public health dimensions of the epilepsies, focusing on public health surveillance and data collection; population and public health research; health policy, health care, and human services; and education for people with the disorder and their families, health care providers, and the public. Recommendations were developed and released in a report, Epilepsy Across the Spectrum: Promoting Health and Understanding.

NINDS (National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke)

NINDS conducts and supports research on brain and nervous system disorders. Created by the U.S. Congress in 1950, NINDS is one of the more than two dozen research institutes and centers that comprise the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
