Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS)
Long-term services and supports (LTSS) is assistance with an individual's everyday activities of living to help them remain as independent as possible. When Medicaid LTSS are provided under a managed care system rather than a fee-for-service system, they are called Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS). Under a MLTSS system, managed care plans, under contract with the State, coordinate the delivery of all approved supports and services for each program participant.
