Treatment Foster Care Contractors

Treatment Foster Care (TFC) is a family based service that provides individualized treatment for children and their families. Services are utilized to divert a child from a residential placement or to assist a child after discharge from a residential placement.

The child participating in a TFC placement receives intensive services through a treatment team consisting of a case manager, supervisor, behavioral aide, foster parent(s), birth parent(s) or other identified permanent caregiver for the child, foster care staff, therapist and other community members.

If you have questions about TFC, or if you would like to obtain a TFC contract with MDHHS, please email Mary Chaliman at chalimanm2@michigan.gov and Erica Barrett at barrette1@michigan.gov.
