Continuous Quality Improvement
Continuous quality improvement is the process of identifying, describing and analyzing strengths and problems and testing, implementing, learning from and revising solutions.1
A continuous quality improvement process requires a supportive foundational structure and the ability to monitor service quality and customer satisfaction using valid data and research-proven methods. CQI also requires an effective feedback process that promotes trust and ongoing learning.
The continuous quality improvement approach requires the ability to define measures, collect quality data and analyze it effectively to determine whether current efforts are moving toward the desired change.
Continuous Quality Improvement
The Council is comprised of MDHHS senior staff, headed by the Children's Services Agency executive director, to lead the overall implementation of system reform efforts and oversee state and local teams and plans. This includes the work of sub-teams that address issues identified in the following areas: permanency, safety, well-being: education & health, placement, service array, training, communications, and data: children’s cabinet.
