Apply for or Renew a Body Art Facility License
October 8th is the last day to apply for licensing at the Michigan Tattoo Convention in Monroe
There are two ways to apply for a Body Art Facility License:
- Online: To apply for or renew your facility's body art license, click here. You will be directed to the MiLogin site.
- If this is your first time applying you will log in or create your MiLogin account, use the find services and search for the MI Body Art Portal.
- Instructions on how to Apply for or Renew your Body Art Facility License here.
- By Mail: Download and print your application submit with payment through the mail. Mailing instructions are included in the application document.
License Fees:
- $994.01 for a new license applied for Oct 1, 2025 - Dec 31, 2025 ($328.49 for 2025 + $665.52 for 2026)
- $665.52 for a new annual Body Art Facility License if you are planning to begin operation in 2026
- $665.52 for an annual license RENEWAL to continue operating in 2026
- $998.28 late renewal if NOT renewed ON or BEFORE Dec 1, 2025 ($665.52 renewal fee + 332.76 late fee)
- $332.76 for a new annual license applied for after July 1, 2026
- $197.08 for a temporary license (not to exceed 14 days)
- $65.67 duplicate license fee for a current permanent licensee
