OSA director statement on Veterans Day observance

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 9, 2012

LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Office of Services to the Aging (OSA) Director Kari Sederburg issued the following statement in observance of Veterans Day:

"As we come together in celebration of our Veterans, let us give thanks to the generations of brave men and women who served in the armed forces during our nations' greatest challenges.

"Michigan is the proud home of nearly 700,000 veterans and it is our duty to never forget the courageous commitment of these extraordinary people.

"Just as they fulfilled their duties for us, we must look to their example and work together to increase support services as they return home.

"I encourage you to approach this Veterans Day with a restored sense of appreciation and join OSA in thanking the men and women of our armed forces, both past and present, for their valor and for protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day."
