Michigan Office of Services to the Aging seeks applicants for the State Advisory Council on Aging

LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Office of Services to the Aging (OSA) announced today that it is seeking applicants to serve on the State Advisory Council on Aging (SAC).

The SAC, appointed by the Commission on Services to the Aging (CSA), studies aging issues and recommends policy to the CSA.

The SAC seeks to reflect the demographic and geographic diversity of Michigan's older adult population and member appointments are made in the spring of each year.

Residents living in the following counties are encouraged to apply: Kalamazoo, Barry, Calhoun, St. Joseph, Branch, Berrien, Cass, Van Buren, Genesee, Lapeer, Shiawassee, Alger, Baraga, Chippewa, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, Luce, Mackinac, Marquette, Menominee, Ontonagon, and Schoolcraft.

Applications can be submitted by mail with original signature or by email with an electronic signature. Emailed applications without electronic signature will require a paper copy application sent to OSA with original signature.

The deadline to submit applications is Thursday, Feb. 28 by 5 p.m.
