July 31, 2026
LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) will host a virtual public hearing on the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) State Plan from 2 to 2:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 17.
The CSBG is a block grant to support the work of Community Action Agencies (CAAs). CAAs use these funds to address locally identified needs within their communities.
The purpose of the hearing is to gather input from Michigan residents on the two-year plan, covering the period of Oct. 1, 2026, to Sept. 30, 2028. Individuals interested in participating should join the meeting online. Registration is not required.
The CSBG State Plan is available for public review on the Bureau of Community Action and Economic Opportunity website under Announcements. Written comments on the plan will be accepted through Monday, Aug. 17, as well, and may be emailed to MDHHS-BCAEO@michigan.gov with the subject “FY27-FY28 State Plan Comments.”
