Specific Populations
Young adults who have breast cancer and also identify as a member of an underserved population may have needs that are overlooked. They may have more barriers to accessing quality care than other young adults with breast cancer. Barriers may include lack of trust in the health care system, financial concerns, and unconscious bias.
The resources included below provide information about how to address these disparities and identify sources of support.
