- Develop and implement a standard process for assessing children, youth, and families for eligibility for home and community-based services, which includes “at-risk” children and youth
- Establish access standards for home and community-based services for children, youth, and families
- Establish an education, training, and workforce development program to assist providers with implementing new service models and assessment processes
- Develop and oversee a contract and procure a vendor to support the implementation of the education, training, and workforce development program

- Serve as lead of development, implementation, and maintenance of Medicaid policy for home and community-based services for children, youth, and families
- Manage and maintain key waiver programs such as the Children’s Waiver Program (CWP) and Waiver for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED Waiver)
- Develop and implement policy and programmatic changes to ensure access, availability, and utilization of Medicaid-funded services on a statewide basis in alignment with the MI Kids Now Initiative
