Sexual Assault Healthcare Toolkit
A Toolkit for Michigan Hospitals
This toolkit was designed by the Division of Victim Services to help Michigan health providers ensure that sexual assault victims have access to sexual assault medical forensic examinations. Resources in the toolkit include a four-part online training series, a Sexual Assault Evidence Kit Pathway guide, posters, and a sticker to promote Track-Kit™, Michigan's web-based system to track the location of sexual assault examination kits collected by hospitals and healthcare providers.

This training series reviews the rules and laws for health providers around victim access to the sexual assault medical forensic examination, required victim notices, rules around billing and payment for the examination and use of Track-Kit™.
Toolkit Resources
Downloadable resources in this toolkit include a document providing a one-page overview of the sexual assault evidence kit handling pathway and decision tree, posters that can be used in sexual assault medical forensic examination rooms or waiting rooms, and a sticker that can be posted to remind providers to use the Sexual Assault Kit Tracking System, Track-Kit™.
