Telemedicine connects you to your child's specialistPediatric telemedicine is a safe, video-based way for parents and their children to meet with a specialist (or other provider) without driving a long distance. The video visit might take place from the patient's home or another location. The visit happens in real-time and allows the patient and provider to interact much the same way as when the visit is face-to-face.
Does my clinic or specialist participate in telemedicine?
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, most health care providers have and continue to offer telemedicine. If you would like to know if your provider offers telemedicine, contact their office directly to find out.
Why use telemedicine?
Telemedicine reduces time spent and travel to long distance specialist appointments. Parents miss fewer days of work, children miss fewer days of school, and families save money on gas, hotels, and food. Most families who have used telemedicine find it to be very convenient and easy to use.
