Quality Assurance Section
Quality Assurance Section
The mission of the Quality Assurance (QA) Section is to provide the framework and support for the quality management system implemented by all areas within the Bureau of Laboratories (BOL). QA activities enable BOL managers to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of their areas of oversight and provide avenues for continual improvement.
The QA Section reports directly to the BOL Laboratory Director and manages the BOL quality management system and testing accreditations.

Wet Mount Control Suspension:
The QC Unit produces a small amount of wet mount control suspension that is provided to Michigan public health partners unable to produce or procure it on their own. This is primarily Michigan local public health departments, and regional public health laboratories.
Local public health departments and regional laboratories can request wet mount control suspension by contacting MDHHSLab@michigan.gov.
