MI Options brings together local Medicare counseling and Person‑Centered Options Counseling (PCOC) to create a comprehensive No Wrong Door (NWD) system for older adults and people with disabilities. Through SHIP, MI Options offers free, unbiased help with Medicare enrollment and benefit evaluation, which includes support for people who have both Medicaid and Medicare. MI Options also provides PCOC counseling to help individuals understand and access long‑term services and supports. The program was formerly known as the Michigan Medicare Assistance Program (MMAP).
