Final Steps for Agency Providers
Meet with the Home Help Beneficiary's MDHHS Adult Services Worker (ASW)
When a Home Help client chooses to receive services from your agency, they must share their decision with their MDHHS adult services worker (ASW). The ASW must meet with the Home Help client and either an authorized agency representative or the agency caregiver(s) assigned to the Home Help client before the ASW can authorize payments to your agency.

Submit the MSA-1904
Once services have been provided submit the MSA-1904 which includes an accurate record of the authorized Home Help services that were provided on each day of the billing period. A separate MSA-1904 must be submitted for each beneficiary to which services were provided.
Payment will not be released until the MSA-1904 has been received and verified by the beneficiary’s local county MDHHS office.

Billing for Services on the Home Help Client’s Date of Hospital Admission
Beginning February 1, 2023, Home Help providers can bill for Home Help services provided on the day the Home Help client is admitted to a hospital. The services must be provided before the time of the Home Help client’s hospital admission. The Home Help provider must submit a BPHASA-2207 Home Help Billing for Hospital Admission form within 365 days of the date of service.
