Diabetes Among Michigan Adults
Diabetes is a chronic disease characterized by hyperglycemia (high blood glucose) caused by either a lack of insulin or the body’s inability to use insulin efficiently.
MDHHS Diabetes and Kidney Unit and Chronic Disease Epidemiology Section developed this interactive dashboard to enable members of the public to examine diabetes among Michigan adults. It provides quick access to indicators at statewide, as well as demographics and selected comorbidities and controllable risk factors.
For more information about this dashboard, please contact Megan Goff at GoffM1@michigan.gov.
