E4L Overview
Employment 4 Life (E4L) is a week-long camp that provides targeted skills training and work experience for youth aged 16-26 with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Participants will build skills for living independently, getting a job, and planning recreation.
The deadline to apply for E4L Camp in MTSA Region 1 is Friday, June 23, 2023.
The deadline to apply for E4L Camp in MTSA Region 5 is Friday, July 14, 2023.
What is Employment 4 Life (E4L) Camp?
Employment 4 Life (E4L) is a week-long camp that provides targeted skills training and work experience for youth aged 16-26 with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Participants build skills for living independently, getting a job, and learn about the advantages of inclusive, integrated employment.
How do I know if I am a good candidate?
- Do you live in MTSA Region 1 or MTSA Region 5?
- Are you between the ages of 16-26?
- Do you identify as a person with an intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD)?
- Do you want to build your skills and gain valuable work experience?
If you answered “yes” to all of these questions, you are a good candidate!
Where is MTSA Region 1?
MTSA Region 1 includes the following counties:
Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Clare, Crawford, Emmet, Gladwin, Grand Traverse, Iosco, Kalkaska, Lake Leelanau, Manistee, Mason, Missaukee, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon, and Wexford.
Where is MTSA Region 5?
MTSA Region 5 includes the following counties:
Alger, Baraga, Chippewa, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, Luce, Mackinac, Marquette, Menominee, Ontonagon, and Schoolcraft.
