Dear Colleagues,
It has come to our attention that there is some concern, when using our CHASS Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) system for mileage reimbursement, that the mileage currently being calculated is not accurate. We are aware of this temporary issue and this alert is intended to provide clarification.
CHASS – NEMT is currently calculating an estimated mileage that the family will be reimbursed. When CSHCS receives the completed invoice from the family, the mileage they report is re-verified to assure the family is receiving the correct amount for reimbursement. If changes need to be made to the mileage calculated by the system, the mileage is adjusted in CHASS NEMT before the invoice is approved and sent to the accounting department for reimbursement to the family.
