Store representatives Toby Thatch and Vicki Hahn worked closely with WIC vendor analyst Harold C. Stratton during the certification process. Both came to each in-store meeting with an enthusiastic attitude and a determination to learn how to make their store one of the best on teh program. Store walk throughs with Thatch were invaluable for in establishing rapport, obtaining insight into areas for improvement and providing one-on-one training about the WIC program and role of the vendor.
Thatch and Hahn downloaded the WIC Connect mobile app and used it to scan items throughout the store to ensure proper labelling and a smooth checkout. They care about their customers and the community that surrounds Great Giant.
Thatch and Hahn made sure any tasks on the store's personalized improvement plan were completed before the following visit. They always went the extra mile by doing more than what was required, like producing their own comprehensive WIC training policy for store staff. Great Giant successfully completed the program and is proud to be designated as Vendor+ certified.
