Marijuana use is legal in Michigan for those 21 years of age and older. For these Michiganders, using marijuana is a personal choice. However, it is illegal for anyone younger than 21 to purchase, possess, or use marijuana. This law protects our youth from the harmful effects of marijuana on the developing brain.
At any age, marijuana use comes with risks. Learning more about them will help you do your part to prevent underage marijuana use, and protect yourself as well.
Knowing the health risks associated with marijuana use is the first step toward keeping yourself and others safe.
